‘We have worked with Studio Basheva on projects as varied as a new build house in Cambridge for a private client, a small residential block of flats in London for a commercial client and conversion of a historic substation to a residential unit in Buckinghamshire. In our experience, Studio Basheva are able to bring imaginative solutions to a wide range of projects for different sets of clients. This reflects their ability to not only think about excellent design but also to consider a particular client’s needs and wants and to reflect these, attractively and persuasively, within the designs that they bring forward; often exceeding the client’s expectations as to what their scheme will be able to deliver.We find Studio Basheva very easy to work with. They respond quickly, whether this is to meet tight deadlines or to feed information to site and are good team players both in design and in the delivery phases. They expect other team members to perform as strongly as they do and this helps deliver excellent client results.We find that Studio Basheva are keenly aware of clients’ financial constraints in a way that is not as commonplace with architects as one might think. They work closely with our QS team to help build a realistic budget alongside excellent design. We find that this gives good results during a tender process with severe value engineering not being required.Once on site, Studio Basheva respond to contractor queries quickly and sensibly. They accept that the contractor may have good ideas but are strong in maintaining their design vision and quality threshold. They work well with clients to help deliver excellent finishes in line with budget and the contractor’s programme requirements.We look forward to working with them further in the future.’
